It is located in the back alley of the Unzen hot spring shopping street, and is one of Unzen's most oldest communal bathhouse. Because at first, the bathtubs used barrels for pickled shallots, it was called the “dankyu bath” by locals.
This spring, the exterior, showers, and toilets have been remodeled.
